Will Give Strong Message to Opposition : Minister Ponnam
RSD_Rajanna Sircilla: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will visit Sircilla on September 30, announced Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
Addressing a media conference at Sircilla along with Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, Government Whips Adi Srinivas, Vijaya Ramana Rao, Vemula Veeresham, MLAs Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, Medipally Satyam and DCC Presidents Sangeetam Srinivas and KK Mahender Reddy, Ponnam said every Congress worker from Sircilla district and the combined district should attend the meeting in large numbers.
The Minister said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the Telangana Praja Palana government has been running for 33 months, giving priority to the welfare of farmers, labourers and students and infrastructure development, with Hyderabad as the hub for all round development of the state.
Launching a scathing attack on the opposition, Ponnam said the BRS leaders are behaving irresponsibly with destructive politics. He alleged that BRS leaders feel happy even if any unfortunate incident happens or if rains fail in the state.
He said at a time when El Nino has caused drought like conditions and all should mount pressure on the Centre to bring funds to the state, the opposition is doing politics even on that.
Ponnam said the Chief Minister will give a message from the Sircilla stage itself that will bring enlightenment to the opposition parties.
He said despite huge financial burden, the government is moving forward in a disciplined manner without imposing even a single rupee burden of bus charges, electricity charges or any other taxes on the people.
Listing out the welfare schemes, he said the government is implementing free bus travel for women, 200 units free electricity, Rs. 500 gas subsidy, distribution of new ration cards, fine rice distribution, interest-free loans of Rs. 5-10 lakh to women SHGs and filling of nearly 70,000 jobs for the unemployed.
He said while the government is moving positively across the state praying for good rains, the opposition is going negative.
