RSD- Sircilla news: Under the Mind Care and Counseling Center Government General Hospital, renowned psychologist K. Punnamchander organized a mental health conference for power loom workers at B.Y. Nagar in Sircilla on 07.02.2025. Speaking on the occasion, psychologist Punnamchander said that workers should give top priority to health protection. Stating that mental health affects physical health, he urged workers to stay away from bad habits. He said that alcohol addiction causes physical and mental disorders and leads to a person’s social and economic downfall. He said that chewing tobacco, smoking cigarettes, and drinking too much tea are the main causes of cancer and gastric problems. He advised workers who want to stay away from bad habits to contact the Mind Care and Counseling Center. The workers were taught techniques on how to reduce their bad habits. They explained the methods of dealing with the many problems they face in life and asked them to move forward with a positive attitude. They were told not to ignore sleep problems or suicidal thoughts and to seek counseling immediately. Industrialist Hanmandla Ramanarayana, Mind Care Center staff Vemula Annapurna, Boora Srimati, Konda Uma, Rapelli Latha and workers participated in this program.
