5 more government degree colleges sanctioned in Telangana

RSD- Telangana news: The government has issued orders establishing five more new government degree colleges in the state. New degree colleges have been sanctioned to Madnuru in Kamareddy district, Ashwaraopet in Kottagudem district, Ichoda in Adilabad district, Amangallu in Rangareddy district and Ellareddypet in Sircilla district.

The government has sanctioned 15 new government degree colleges in the last three academic years. Alia, Maheswaram, Vikarabad, Parigi, Rajendranagar, Kuthbullapur, Dhanwada, Maktal, Badangpet have been sanctioned for colleges and recently permission has been given to open another college. Officials revealed that these colleges will be started from the academic year 2023-24.

While BCom Computer Science, BA, BSc Life Sciences and BSc Physical Science courses will be conducted, 240 seats have been allowed in each college. It is stated that these colleges will continue to be taught entirely in English medium. Among these colleges, except one Ellareddypet, the remaining four colleges have been included in the Dost list.

Dost explained that the seats in these colleges will be filled in special release admissions. It was mentioned that Ellareddypet College will also be included in the Dost list once the courses are approved within a day or two. With the establishment of these colleges, the number of degree colleges in the state has reached 136.
