Husband who harassed his wife sentenced to 3 years in prison

RSD- Mustabd news: The first class judge of Siricilla, Praveen, announced the verdict on 03.09.2025, imposing a three-year prison sentence and a fine of Rs. 10,000/- rupees on the husband who harassed his wife, Mustabad SI Ganesh said. Speaking on this occasion, the SI said Sadimela Ramachandram, a resident of Gudem village in Mustabad mandal of Rajannasiricilla district, used to harass his wife Kanakavva often mentally and physically. He said that he had drunk alcohol and started quarrels with his wife, and on December 2nd, 2016 at 6 am, he beat her badly and attacked her with a torchlight and injured her. Unable to bear the harassment, the victim filed a complaint at the Mustabad police station, and the police registered a case against the accused Sadimela Ramachandram and police conducted an investigation. Later, the then SIs Chittibabu and Praveen filed the charge sheet. Public Prosecutor Sandeep argued for the prosecution, while SI Ganesh, CMs SI Shravan, court constable Devender and 12 witnesses were presented in the court. SI Ganesh said that since the crime was proven against the accused Ramachandran, Judge Praveen sentenced him to three years in prison and a fine of Rs. 10,000.
