‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ means celebration of eternal freedom and independence. He informed that the country got independence on August 15, 1947 as a result of the sacrifices of many great people through the movement for freedom and independence against the British colonial rulers who ruled our country for almost two hundred years.

The fact that we are so free today is the reward of the sacrifices of lakhs of freedom fighters including Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. That is why we should celebrate the independence day by remembering their sacrifices and we should do our best not to let their sacrifices go to waste.
