A senior police officer died in a lift accident

RSD- Sircilla news: Gangaram was working as the Additional Commandant of the 17th Battalion of Telangana Special Police. He had previously served as the Chief Security Officer of the Telangana Secretariat. Thota Gangaram, a former CSO of the Secretariat, who was injured in a lift accident, died. Commandant Thota Gangaram (58) of the 17th Police Battalion had dinner at an apartment in the Sircilla district center on 10.03.2025 midnight. Later, he waited for a while at the lift to leave. Hearing some sound, he opened the door thinking that the lift had arrived and went inside but fell down. He was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The doctors who examined him confirmed that Gangaram had already died. Battalion Commandant Thota Gangaram hails from Siddulam village in Kotagiri mandal of Nizamabad district. His family members are, wife Rekha, a son Satish Kumar, and two daughters Gauthami and Meenal. Gangaram’s death has left the police department in a state of mourning. Family members were in tears after learning about his death. District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, ASP Chandraiah, DSP Chandrasekhara Reddy, 1st Battalion Commandant Muralikrishna, 3rd Battalion Commandant Jamil Fasha, 17th Battalion Assistant Commandant Sambasiva Rao, Ramdas and battalion officers and staff paid floral tributes to the mortal remains of 17th Battalion Commandant Gangaram, who died in the accident.
