Accused sentenced for attacking govt. office

RSD- Konraopet news: The accused were earlier sentenced to jail in the case of attack on a government office, and when they appealed against that verdict in the court, the District Judge rejected the appeal and sentenced them. Speaking on the occasion, the SI said that on 19-3-2017, between one and two o’clock in the afternoon, in the Konaraopet Tahsildar’s office, Jawvaji@ Pooja Vimala Anganwadi Teacher, Chandrakala Discount Shop Dealer, Medari Devaiah, Banda Rajaiah Banda Sattaiah, Poojam Rajaiah, Gangadhar, Poojam Lingaiah, Reddy Malla Lachchaiah, Mayadari Madhu and Jawvaji Gangadhar violently entered the office, sent out the staff, destroyed the furniture in the office and created a terrifying atmosphere. In this regard, the then SI registered a case based on the complaint given by the then Tahsildar Nagarajamma, completed the investigation and filed a charge sheet. The then CMS SI Srikanth led the court constable Mohan to produce the witnesses in the court. After examining the antecedents of the case, the Principal Judicial First Class Magistrate Praveen sentenced Jawvaji Vimala and 10 other accused to one year in prison and a fine of Rs. 3000 each. Challenging the verdict, the accused appealed to the district court, but the district judge rejected their appeal and sentenced them to one year in prison, the SI said.
