RSD-Karimnagar news: The excitement over the Karimnagar Graduate MLC election results has finally subsided. BJP candidate Anji Reddy has won the MLC election. Anji Reddy’s victory was confirmed after the second priority vote counting. Anji Reddy got 78,635 votes, while Congress candidate Narendra Reddy got 73,644 votes. BSP candidate Prasanna Harikrishna got 63,404 votes. After Anji Reddy’s victory was confirmed, Narendra Reddy left the counting hall. Meanwhile, the Karimnagar Teachers and Graduate MLC seats have been won by the BJP. On the other hand, the election officials will make an announcement on Anji Reddy’s victory soon. The winner was announced on 05.03.2025 after the counting that has been going on for two days. The BJP, which won the Karimnagar-Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad teacher MLC seats, also won the graduate MLC seats from the same districts. However, the counting of votes has created a lot of excitement for two days. As the result of the first priority vote counting was not known, the second round of priority votes was counted. When six rounds were counted till 12 midnight 04.03.2025, BJP candidate C. Anji Reddy was ahead by 6,931 votes over his rival Congress candidate V. Narendra Reddy. The BJP, which had led for five consecutive rounds, fell behind in the 6th and 7th rounds. In the sixth round, Narendra Reddy achieved a slight lead of 211 votes. In the seventh round, Narendra Reddy got a lead of over 600 votes. However, in the counting of votes 05.03.2025, misfortune befell the BJP candidate. This came as a shock to the Congress leaders who were confident of victory from the beginning. Meanwhile, BJP workers are celebrating at the Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar district headquarters.
