Innocent people deceived in the name of Ayurvedic medicine

RSD- Sircilla news: On this occasion, the DSP said that a person named Ajay from Karnataka state used to travel on a motorcycle in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states and go to the innocent people who were sick in the villages of various districts and tell them that they had paralysis and other health problems and that he would cure them with Ayurvedic medicine. He would collect a large amount of money from them ranging from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 50,000 for Ayurvedic medicine and then return to them and treat them. He would leave from there and cheat innocent people. In Telugu states, Anantapur, Mahabubnagar, Narayankhed, Ranga Reddy districts the accused used to roam around in various villages of Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts and cheat innocent people in the name of Ayurvedic medicine. Similarly, the accused went to Sathraju Palli in the vicinity of Vemulawada town in Rajannasircilla district, Badnakal, Venkatravapalli in Mustabad mandal and Kodimoju Lakshmi w/o Prabhakar of Lingannapet village in Gambhiraopet mandal on 12-11-2024. Knowing that her husband was suffering from a mental illness, he went to her house and told her false words, convincing her that he would cure her mental illness, and made her pay Rs. 20,000 on phone pay, took the new Dubai blanket she had with her, and returned with some more medicines, and left from there. The DSP said that while the police were patrolling Gambhiraopet to see if anyone was planning to cheat people in various villages by deceiving them and again on 06.03.2025, they got suspicious and arrested them and interrogated them. The accused confessed that he had cheated more than 50 people in Telangana state and was sent to remand. The DSP congratulated SI Srikanth, staff ASI Srinivas Reddy and PC Srinath for their cleverness in catching the accused.
