Mandal President of Congress Party Praveen said that Congress leaders are being illegally arrested with the intention of covering up the government’s failures. If your governance is good then why the illegal arrests? Ministers KTR, Niranjan Reddy and Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy came to start an agricultural college in Jillella village of Tangallapalli mandal. The police arrested the Congress leaders in the wake of the minister’s visit to the mandal. He alleged that there is exploitation here with 15% commission on the development of any welfare program undertaken in Sircilla area. He said that all the people of the state are aware of the occasions when the party leaders themselves asked to take commission. He said that Minister KTR, who was inaugurating the agriculture college, grabbed the lands of Dalits in the name of the college. He said he did not. He warned that if illegal arrests are made once again, there will be no peace and there will be serious agitation on the part of the Mandal Congress Party.

The police pre-arrested the leaders of the opposition parties from 12.04.2023 morning when the schedule of KTR’s visit was confirmed. He said that the police have told the family members of the leaders that the leaders who are not available near the house should come to the police station. Frustrated with this, the Congress leaders left for the police station without waiting for the police to arrive. They staged a protest outside the station. They said that there is a situation in Sircilla which is not in any constituency in the state. He asked what illegal arrests are, even if we do not call for agitation. Whenever Minister KTR comes to the district, the police come and take us to the station. The Congress leaders explained that they went to the station with the hope that the situation would change from now on.

Mandal Congress President Praveen, Vice President Srikanth Goud, Mandal Rythu President Ponnala Parushuramulu, Mandal Secretary Arepalli Balu, Youth Leaders Srikanth, Leaders Shyamu, Balasani Srinivas, Chiluka Srinivas and others participated in the program.
