Criminal action if silencers are modified for two-wheelers
RSD- Sircilla news: Any motorist who modifies the silencers supplied by the two-wheeler with the company will face criminal action against the modified machine District SP warned. During April 2024 in the district, the police conducted a special drive against the installation of high-noise silencers in place of two-wheeler company silencers and identified 86 high-noise two-wheeler silencers and destroyed them with the help of a road roller in Sircilla Bypass area on 28.05.2024.On this occasion, the SP said that it is a crime to change the silencers of two-wheelers against the rules, and inspections have been carried out across the district with a special focus on noise pollution control and public health. In particular, two-wheeler riders are advised to use only the silencers provided by the company, warning that any motorist who modifies the silencer and causes noise pollution will face action against the vehicles as per the rules.
He said that those who change the silencer of vehicles and cause noise pollution should inform Sircilla Traffic SI 8712656441 and Vemulawada Traffic SI 8712656440. He said that if sirens are fit to vehicles in violation of the rules in the district, the vehicles will be seized and strict action will be taken. DSP Chandrasekhar Reddy, CI Raghupathi, traffic SI Ramesh and traffic staff participated along with the SP.
