Election rules should be strictly enforced
RSD-Medak news: Sangareddy District Election Officer and Collector Vallur Kranti said that the election code of conduct should be strictly enforced in the upcoming Parliament elections.On 22.02.2024, she conducted the first training program on election code of conduct at the Collectorate conference hall. Sector Officers, POs, APO Flying Squad, Statistical Surveillance, Video Surveillance, Video Viewing Teams, Tehsildars and MPDOs attended the training program on election code of conduct related to Medak, Zaheerabad Parliamentary Elections. On this occasion, the Collector said that as per the directives of the Central Election Commission, the officials should take strict measures to implement the code of conduct of elections.
She said that as part of the election management, one should have complete understanding of the election guidelines and rules, must follow the duties and rules assigned to various teams and avoid any difficulties in the field, assess the situation from time to time and provide appropriate information to the superiors. The collector directed the sector officials to start the election duties by identifying the problematic polling centers through valuable mapping of the election process. They want to hold a meeting with the elders of the polling centers in the respective villages and organize awareness meetings so that the voters can use their precious vote without succumbing to any temptations. She said that the election code will come into force from the time the election schedule is released and there should be full understanding of the duties to be performed once the code comes into force.
She said that special attention should be given to the illegal distribution of alcohol and money as part of the strict implementation of the election code of conduct. Collector Vallur Kranti stated that the officials of all departments should work in coordination to complete the Parliament elections effectively just like the assembly elections. As part of the program, the district level trainer Krishna made the officers aware of the code of conduct, duties, arrangements, etc. through a power point presentation. Additional Collector Chandrasekhar, DMWO Devuja, RDOs Ravinder Reddy, Venkateshwarlu, Raju, Pandu, other officials and cost inspectors participated in this training program.
