Enthusiastically organized games competitions for the disabled

RSD- Karimnagar news: The district level games competitions for the disabled under the Women, Children, Disabled and Elderly Department were held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar with great enthusiasm.District Collector Pamela Satpathi attended the program and inaugurated various games competitions. Medals were presented to the winners. Blind, deaf, physically and mentally challenged people displayed their talent in competitions like chess, carrom, running, short put, javelin throw. Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said that such competitions contribute a lot to the mental development of the disabled. District Welfare Officer M Saraswathi said that these competitions were organized to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 03.12.2025. She said that the winners of these competitions will be sent on behalf of the district to the state-level competitions to be held soon. She unveiled the poster of Balya Vivah Mukt Bharat. District Youth and Sports Department Officer Srinivas Goud, Nehru Yuva Kendra Coordinator Rambabu, Lions Club Representative Shiva Kanth, Red Cross Society President Pendyala Kesava Reddy, representatives of various associations Vennam Srinivas, Mogili Laxman, K. Narsayya, Y. Suresh, Rajasekhar Reddy, children of government blind, deaf and mentally challenged schools participated in this program.
