Exemption of special needs teachers from election duties

RSD- District news: On 27.03.2024 evening, DTF Rajannasircilla went to meet the Collector under the direction of the district department regarding the exemption of teachers with special needs in allotment of election duties. Since the Collector was not available, the Administration Officer of the Collector’s office, Ram Reddy, represented the Collector. Democratic Teachers Federation (DTF) represented Rajannasircilla district branch to exclude teachers with special needs while allotting duties in upcoming parliamentary elections in May, 2024. Representation to District Collector Rajannasircilla through Administration Officer to exempt teachers suffering from chronic health problems like heart disease, TB, back pain, teachers on maternity leave, nursing mothers with young children and teachers nearing retirement from election duties was requested. It has also been requested to consider seniority and basic pay while allocating election duties. DTF Rajannasircilla district branch president Dontula Srihari, general secretary Avvuram Sudhakar Reddy, former president/present state councilor Oilneni Rajeswara Rao, district secretary M Vishnu Prasad and others participated in this meeting.
