Farmer commits suicide due to debt
RSD-Gambiraopet news: A farmer who was frustrated with life due to poor crop yields, mounting debts and health problems committed suicide. Duddedi Shankar (55) of Gambhiraopet Mandal Center in Rajanna Sircilla district cultivated paddy on his five acres of agricultural land and mangoes on two acres he had rented. The expected yields of paddy and mangoes did not come. He was in debt of up to Rs. 4 lakh. In addition to this, health problems started. At this time, Shankar, frustrated with life, committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in his field on 14.06.2025 evening.
