RSD –Karimnagar news: All India Forward Block Karimnagar District General Secretary Bandari Shekhar demanded the government to immediately deposit the crop loss compensation money announced by the Chief Minister before the Telangana Independence Day celebrations. The state cabinet not only decided to organize the Telangana Avirbhava Utsavas for 20 days from June 2nd, but also made allocations to spend hundreds of crores of rupees. Compensation for farmers who lost due to untimely rains in a week was not at all taken care.

He criticized the Ministers and MLAs for not talking about the compensation as it has been two months since the Chief Minister himself announced it in Karimnagar district. He questioned how for celebrations got money which was not there to compensate the farmers. He called upon the farmers to stop the MLAs and ministers roaming in the rural areas to give compensation to the farmers. He said that there is no crop insurance scheme in the state. How can the farmers with tears in their eyes and pain in their hearts happily celebrate the festival?

He said that the grain farmers in the buying centers have been working hard for months and are worried if the crops get wet due to rains. He criticized the officials who are charging 2 kg for a 40 kg bag for not paying attention. If the farmers are begging in so many ways, how can they organize the festival. They demanded compensation to the farmers who suffered losses due to monsoon rains before June 2nd 2023. They demanded loan waiver for farmers. If not, he warned that the farmers will be punished.
