Farmers who have suffered loss due to hailstorm should not lose heart and the government will support them, District Additional Collector N Khemya Naik assured the farmers. Crops were damaged in Rajannasircilla district due to untimely rains.

Additional District Collector, Rythu Bandhu Samiti President Gaddam Narsaiah, district agriculture and horticulture officials and local public representatives toured the villages of Gorintala, Mallu Palle, Gunta Cheruvupalli Tanda and Kancharla villages in Ellareddy Peta, Gambhiraupeta, Veernapalli mandals. Crops damaged by hailstorms were examined at field level. Had a meeting with the farmers and the farmers were asked about the details of the crop loss.

State Minister KTR, District Collector Anurag Jayanthi said that they have been instructed to prepare a report on the severity of crop damage in the district. The additional collector of the district said that the revenue, agriculture and horticulture officials are already inspecting the crop fields in the district at the field level and collecting the details of the affected farmers. The district collector has assured the farmers that the government will support them in all ways so that the farmers who lost their crops due to untimely rains should not lose heart. He said that as soon as the details of the loss are received, they will report to the government and ensure that the affected farmers get compensation.

Additional Collector of the district visited many grain buying centers and advised to be alert at all times in view of the possibility of untimely rains in the district for the next two days. Farmers should cover the grain brought to the purchase centers in tarpaulin so that it does not get wet. He said that the procured grains should be bought immediately and transported to the mills and no negligence should be done anywhere.
