FST, SST teams should carry out armed inspections

RSD- District news: On 19.10.2023, additional collector N. Khemya Naik  and district SP Akhil Mahajan directed the teams .SP said that the flying squad and static surveillance teams should play a vital role in conducting the elections transparently. Inspections should be carried out without causing any problems to the common people. Officers and staff were advised to inspect each and every vehicle thoroughly. He said that armed checks should be conducted at the check posts, records should be maintained and a number should be written for each vehicle. Record information related to vehicle inspection, confiscated cash and other information should be sent daily by the relevant authorities in specific formats and a receipt should be given for the confiscated items.

Additional Collector said that the FST and SST teams should immediately inform the district committee when they find money in excess of fifty thousand rupees and GPS tracking of flying squad vehicles has been done. The team members were advised to carry out checks with great care during the night hours, if proper evidence is submitted for the seized cash, it will be released in two days under the district level committee. The team members were instructed to check every vehicle thoroughly and prevent money, liquor and transport. DSP Nagendrachari, CI, SI, SST, FST teams participated in this meeting.
