Habitual housebreaker nabbed 31.456 tolas of gold ornaments

RSD-Hyderabad news: The Commissionerโs Task Force, South West Zone, Hyderabad, in coordination with LB Nagar and Mailardevpally Police, apprehended Jaganatham Prabhu (33), a habitual housebreaking offender. He was caught for multiple night-time burglaries in the jurisdictions of LB Nagar, Uppal (Rachakonda), and Mailardevpally (Cyberabad).

A total of 31.456 tolas (approx. 3.145 kg) of gold ornaments worth Rs.31 lakhs were recovered from his possession across three cases:
LB Nagar PS (Cr.No.606/2025): 13.286 tolas
Uppal PS (Cr.No.690/2025): 12.83 tolas
Mailardevpally PS (Cr.No.620/2025): 5.34 tolas
Also recovered: A mortgage receipt from Reliant Credit India Ltd.
The accused hails from Nizamabad District and has a long criminal history involving theft and housebreaking since 2013. Despite multiple arrests and judicial custody, he continued committing crimes after being released on bail in May 2025.

He has been involved in at least 10 prior cases under various IPC sections in Narsingi, Rajendranagar, Shamirpet, and Bahadurpura PS limits.
