RSD_ Illegal forest land registration during BRS regime

RSD-Hyderabad news: Another huge land grab that took place during the previous BRS government has come to light. Jayashankar Bhupalapally district, the government has identified the involvement of a former BRS MLA as well as the District Collector in the encroachment of forest lands worth hundreds of crores. Recently, a new dimension in land grabbing emerged with the Supreme Court’s verdict on Kompelli forest lands of Bhupalapally district. The drama played by the then BRS leaders and officials to capture 106 acres of forest land worth Rs.380 crores in Kompelli is causing a sensation. The state government hopes to investigate and take action against the responsible officials. It seems that the previous government has moved steps according to the scheme to hand over the forest lands in Kompelli to private individuals.

CM Revanth took a special initiative

Objecting to two government departments submitting different affidavits without reconciliation, the Supreme Court sought an explanation from the Chief Secretary to the Government. Revanth Reddy took a special initiative on this matter which came to his notice immediately after taking charge as CM. After filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court, the officials were ordered to fight the legal battle until the case is won. With the intervention of the CM, the affidavit submitted by the District Collector was withdrawn in the Supreme Court. An affidavit was filed by the Chief Secretary to the Government on 8th February that this land belongs to Reserve Forest. The Supreme Court gave its judgment in this case less than two days ago. It has been clarified that this land belongs to the forest department.

The Supreme Court directed the state government to take action against the officials who filed the affidavit in favor of the private individuals. Condemning the actions of the previous government, the Supreme Court imposed a fine of Rs. 5 lakh on the encroacher and the government. It investigated the officials who joined hands with the encroachers and concluded that there was no objection to recovery of fine from them. However, it is being discussed that the district collector and revenue officials joined hands with the encroachers to prepare false reports due to the pressure of former BRS MLA.

The government has noticed that similar raids have been going on in Ranga Reddy and Medchal Malkajgari districts in relation to government, wharf and devadaya lands. Regarding the lands in Dharani too, criticism is coming that the government lands have been converted encroached. The Dharani Committee is also preparing a report on them. The government is also internally collecting details on where the lands have been transferred illegally. At that time, there were allegations that four IAS officers had made changes in the details of the lands in favor of the BRS government. The government also kept a watch on them. The sector is gearing up to take action as soon as it is confirmed.
