RSD_ District Medical officer gave instructions on World Health Organizations

RSD- Mahabubabad news:  District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Kalavati Bai presided over a meeting held at the District Medical and Health Department office on 06.04.2024 to mark the World Health Day and said that the World Health Organization defines the term ‘health’ as ‘a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Stating that it has been defined, ‘in this we are only interested in physical health but we do not pay much attention to the other two important things, mental and social states. Before discussing this year’s slogan ‘Our Health – Our Right’ we need to know about this wonderful decision taken by the World Health Organization. The same 1978 Alma-Ata ‘by the year 2000’ declaration of ‘Health for All’ changed the pattern of public health. It has made the world health sector look from disease treatment to prevention, from prevention to holistic healing. It explains the concepts of primary health care.

Every human being in this world has the right to good health, the minimum health needs of a human being are clean air, clean water, nutritious food, these wars, destruction, use of fossil fuels and excessive use of fertilizers are draining people’s health. It has been stated that the ‘right to health’ can be realized only when a human being is freed from the direct and indirect factors that disturb this right to health. District Deputy Medical and Health Officer DR. Ambarisha, Program Officers DR. Sudhir Reddy, DR. Bindushri, DR. Vijay Kumar, DR. Shravan Kumar, Deputy Mass Media Officer Prasad, CHO Krishnarjuna Rao, Health Educator Purushottam, Geetha, P.H.N. Caveti Mangamma, Office Superintendent Ravikumar, TB Program Manager Neelimaswetha, Ashok, NHM DPO Rukmuddin, DDM Soumith, Rajakumar, Arun, Savitri and others participated.

First aiders should follow the instructions

In the urban and rural areas of the district, there are many allegations that the first aid medical personnel (RMP) are treating beyond their level, many patients are suffering from various diseases due to the treatment they are providing, and there are allegations that the patients have died in some places, so the first aid medical personnel must follow the following instructions. Also, First Aid Practitioners should not write “Doctor” in front of their name and should only display “First Aid Center” or “First Aid Center” on the signboards in front of the treatment center operated by them. They should not self-diagnose and administer drugs or injections to self-medicate patients (prescription of sleep medications). They should not carry their own saline bottles or manage beds for patients. They should not provide inpatient treatment, lab management (blood and urine test center), use high dose drugs, perform blood tests, perform abortions, deliveries to patients, encourage patients and recommend them to higher centers for unnecessary treatment, or force them.  Therefore, first aiders should follow the above instructions and should not violate any other instructions. Strict action will be taken as per the Telangana Clinical Establishment (Registration & Regulation) Act 2010 (Rules 2011) if any first aid practitioner violates the above instructions.
