Liquior sales peeks to crores in Telangana
RSD – Hyderabad news: According to the officials of the Excise Department, from the beginning of May 1st to May 21 st 2023, 35 lakh 25 thousand 247 cotton beer bottles were sold through 19 depots across the state. In these 21 days, Nalgonda district topped the list of beer sales, while Karimnagar district came second. It is noteworthy that 3 lakh 364 cottons of beer worth Rs.48.14 crores were sold in Nalgonda district.
A total of 35,25,247 carton beers were sold from the beginning of the month of May to the 21st May 2023 . An average of 23,50,164 beer bottles were emptied per day at the rate of 12 beers per carton. According to this calculation, 4,23,02,964 beer bottles were emptied by the liquor lovers within 21 days. On the other hand, Rangareddy district ranks first in liquor sales. In this district, 1,20,334 cartons of liquor were sold while Rs. 78.42 crore income was generated. Nalgonda district is second. Overall, in these 21 days, through liquor sales to the government, Rs. 904.47 crores in revenue was generated.
From April 1st to April 17th 2023, 1,01,54,100 bottles of beer were sold within GHMC. Liquor lovers consume an average of 6 lakh bottles of beer per day. In these 17 days, 8,46,175 beer cartons were sold in GHMC.
