RSD- Sircilla news: The District SP advised the people to celebrate the New Year amidst happiness. He said that as the New Year celebrations approach, the people of the district will enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and the police department will make security arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents. He said that on December 31st 2024, intensive drunk driving checks will be conducted in urban and rural areas across the district. He said that any programs organized on the occasion of the New Year celebrations should be carried out by the organizers in advance and that appropriate action will be taken if DJs and loud boxes are set up in violation of the rules that cause inconvenience to the public.
Police instructions and rules
● On December 31st 2024, crackers and microphones should not be used in a loud manner otherwise strict action will be taken.
● On December 31st 2024, if DJs are used in violation of the ban and rules across the district, they will be seized and cases will be registered.
● Driving under the influence of alcohol is a crime, and if vehicles are driven at high speed at will, cases will be registered and imprisonment will be imposed.
● Strict action will be taken against those who throw stones at houses, private properties, street lights, break windows, harass women, and behave indecently.
● Rash driving, bike racing, triple riding, driving vehicles with silencers removed, and causing noise pollution that disturbs others will be taken against them as per the law.
● Strict action will be taken against those who sell and consume illegal drugs and intoxicants like ganja during New Year celebrations.
● Liquor shops should be closed at fixed times and should not be sold to minors.
● Cases will be filed against those who consume alcohol in public places and government places.
● If minors are caught driving vehicles, cases will be filed against those who gave them vehicles, and if any accident occurs due to them, cases will be filed against their guardians.
The SP advised the people that if anyone comes to the attention of the public who has violated the above points, they should immediately report it to the dial 100 number and strict action will be taken against them. The SP advised the people to celebrate these celebrations in their homes with their family members in a happy atmosphere.
