An emergency meeting of CPIML Praja Pantha party was held in charla mandal and the secretary of party charla mandal Konda Charan said that the sand wraps running in the mandal are running completely against the government rules, as per the rules no work should be done in the ramp after 6 pm but the sand wraps are running in Godavari from night till dawn. According to the rules, sand loading should be done only by the villagers of that society and that too should be taken to the stock point with tractors and unloaded. Under no circumstances should heavy machinery be brought into the Godavari and digging should not be carried out with them. They are taking sand to the place Excavating beyond the limit depth. Exceeding the limits due to which there is a risk of groundwater seepage and risk of damage to the environment. They are also flouting the Walta Act. They are running zero carts. Many sand lorries are being transported by showing a single waybill and other than the stock points given by the government. They are allocating stock points wherever they can.The lorries that are supposed to be stopped at the stock points are being stopped on the main road. They said that they are in confusion, the mining officials who are supposed to supervise are not present at the work place at that spot, if anyone asks why they are doing this against the rules, the raging contractors are threatening the questioned, the innocent adivasis are being provoked by the society members and the villagers are being provoked to participate in violence against the questioned, and because of this, these villagers are involved in the police station and are guilty under the law. We think that the reason for all this is the negligence of the TSMDC officials, but the district collector said that these ramps should be directly monitored and that steps should be taken to ensure that these sand ramps are running in accordance with the rules, to protect the public wealth that is being exploited. Party leaders Dasari Sayanna Palem Chukkaiah Veerabhadram, Shantha, Idama Raju, Laxman and others participated in this meeting.
