Ontimitta Sri Ram’s marriage celebrations begin with “Haridhra event”.

RSD- Ontimitta news: The Kalyan mahotsavam of Sri Sita Ram in Onthimitta began with a grand opening on 13.04.2024 with the “Haridhra event”. TTD introduced this program for the first time this year. On this occasion, female devotees poured about three kilos of turmeric and powdered it in the traditional grinding stone traditionally chanting Jai Shri Ram. Earlier, Archaka Swami performed special pujas at the Lord’s feet to turmeric pieces and traditional grinding stone inside the sanctum sanctorum. Priest Sravana Swami said that the Haridhra incident program started with Bhagwat’s request. He said that the preparations for Sri Sita Rama Kalyana Mahotsava have been started. After that the importance of this program was informed to the devotees. “It is said that the turmeric that comes from today’s turmeric powdering program is used to prepare snapana and talambras for the celebrants on the day of marriage.

“Jai Shri Ram…Jai Shri Ram chanted by women devotees and they enthusiastically participated in this traditional turmeric powdering program. A team of Annamacharya artistes glorified Rama Bhajans on occasion. Chief Priest Swami Raghavacharyu, Ontimitta Special Officer Prashanthi, Superintendent Hanumanthaiah, Priests Manoj, Pawanla, Temple Inspector Naveen, a large number of women devotees and others participated in this program.
