Police is for the protection and safety of the people
Special Branch DSP Ravikumar said that the police department works for the safety of the people as its main objective, and as a part of that, a community contact program was conducted under the direction of District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS. On 04.05.2023 morning in Illanthakunta mandal Rahimkhan Pet village, community contact program was conducted with 60 policemen and 43 two-wheeler vehicles, 01 auto, 01 tractor without proper documents were seized and they could be taken by showing proper documents.
DSP Ravikumar said that the community contact program is being conducted for the eradication of crime. He said that policing is only for the protection and safety of the people, and if there are new people, criminals in the villages, they should inform the police if they have taken shelter. If there is such information, the police should be informed about them that it is the responsibility of the village people to prevent the roots of ganja from entering the villages. He said that any problems in the villages should be brought to their attention or if there are any problems, they should call 100 number. Legal action will be taken if there are belt shops in the villages and illegal sale of alcohol.
It is advised not to respond to phone calls and messages of criminals and fraudsters. He said that everyone should follow the road safety rules and action should be taken if they engage in illegal activities. He suggested that helmets should be worn while driving vehicles. He said that everyone should have a driving license. CC cameras should be installed for more self-protection in villages. He said that there will be cooperation of police in this matter to install cameras and CC cameras which play a vital role in security matters.
