Rayagada Passenger was hit by Palasa Passenger from behind, six killed



RSD- Vizianagaram news:Two trains collided near Kantakapalli Railway Junction in Vizianagaram district. Rayagada Passenger was hit by Palasa Passenger from behind. The Palasa passenger hit the passenger who stopped for the signal. Three bogies of Visakha-Rayagada passenger derailed. Six people died in this accident. The injured are being taken to the local hospital immediately. Rescue operations are ongoing at the scene. The railway staff said that the death toll is likely to increase. A train collided with another train while crossing the tracks. Rescue operations were delayed due to severed power lines. The incident took place near Alamanda-Kantakapalli of Kothavalasa mandal. The AP government was alerted by this incident and sent local minister Botsa Satyanarayana, District Collector, SC to the spot immediately.
