Sircilla BRS Concludes 8 Day Protest with Rasta Roko at Ambedkar Chowrasta… Slams Congress Over Unfulfilled Guarantees
RSD_Sircilla:On the final, 8th day of the state-wide protest program called by BRS Working President and Sircilla MLA Sri K.T. Rama Rao, the BRS party cadre staged a massive protest and Rasta Roko at Ambedkar Chowrasta in Sircilla town on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, BRS leaders alleged that the Congress party came to power by misleading people with 6 Guarantees and 420 promises during the 2024 Assembly elections, assuring that they would be implemented within 100 days. They charged that even after more than 1000 days of governance, the government has failed to fulfill them, cheating farmers, weavers, auto drivers, women, elderly, disabled, students and youth.
As a mark of protest, leaders submitted a representation to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue demanding immediate implementation of all the assurances.
The BRS leaders also strongly condemned the alleged incident on Sunday where police prevented BRS MLAs from attending the Assembly session to question the government’s failures. They alleged that the police misbehaved with MLAs and MLCs, manhandling them.
“If elected MLAs and MLCs are treated like this, what is the fate of a common man who wants to question the government?” they questioned.
The protest was led by NAFSCOB Chairman Konduri Ravinder Rao, CESS Chairman Chikkala Ramarao, Municipal Chairperson Jindam Kala Chakrapani, Former Joint Karimnagar ZP Chairperson Tula Uma, BRS State Secretary Gooduri Praveen, District President Thota Agaiah, Sircilla President Jindam Chakrapani, Vice-Chairman Darla Sandeep and others. A large number of councillors, sarpanches, former representatives and BRS activists participated.
