SP says,people should be vigilant against cyber crimes
RSD-Sircilla news: On this occasion, the SP said that cyber crimes happening in the current society are crypto/bitcoin fraud, pyramid/multi-level marketing fraud, jumped deposit fraud, fake electricity bill fraud, investment fraud, loan app fraud, online payment advertisement fraud, FedEx courier fraud, loan apps, OTP, OLX fraud, fake SIM cards, loan apps, phone calls in the name of officials, fake websites. Some cyber crimes that occurred in Rajannasircilla district this week
1. A person received a message from an unknown number. As part of this message, 30 thousand rupees were taken from the person, saying that they would solve the person’s financial problems.
2. A person in Sircilla Town Police Station was sent a link on WhatsApp saying that he was calling from RBI and that his insurance was pending. The victim clicked on the link and entered his credit card, and lost 50,000 rupees.
3. In Sircilla Town Police Station, the victim received an APK file saying that it was for SBI Revit Points Reading. He clicked on it and logged in with SBI Net Banking details and OT printer, and lost 5000.
4. A relative from a number in the Mustabad police station area told the victim that he was sending an SBI credit card-related app, claiming to be for hygiene purposes. Victim installed the app and shared his credit card details and OTP, resulting in a loss of Rs. 20,000/-.
