Special measures to prevent road accidents, SP Rahul Hedge

RSD- Suryapet news: Suryapet DSP Ravi said that special measures will be taken to prevent road accidents which are happening widely on the national highway in recent times. On 12.04.2024, on the orders of District SP, DSP reviewed the measures to be taken on the national highway from Tekumatla to Kodada under Suryapet along with the representatives of GMR and NHAI. Speaking on this occasion, DSP said that in the recent past, tens of people have died in accidents due to high speed and drinking alcohol. He said that measures will be taken to remove the advertisement boards and trees obstructing the travel on both sides of the road in order to prevent the accidents happening at night due to high speed. Similarly, today’s youth have been asked not to suffer their parents due to deaths on roads after drinking alcohol and driving at high speed. Everyone should follow the traffic rules. He warned that if parents give vehicles to minors and cause accidents, legal action will be taken against the parents as well as the owners of the vehicles. He said that in the road inspection conducted on 13.04.2024, some black spots where accidents occur frequently have been identified and immediate remedial measures will be taken against them. DSP was accompanied by representatives of Suryapet Rural CI Surender Reddy, SI Balu Naik, GMR, NHAI.
