Strict measures for distribution of second tranche of sheep – Telangana

State Animal Husbandry Department, Cinematography Minister Thalasani Srinivas Yadav, Government Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari along with state level officials from Hyderabad on 01.04.2023 distributed the second batch of sheep, Kanti Velugu, Arogya Women, construction of two bedroom houses in urban areas, 58, 59, 76, 118 Govt. G.O. The regularization to be done as per norms, waste lands were reviewed through video conference with the District Collectors.

CM KCR decided to distribute sheep unit with 75% subsidy to Gollakurmas and Yadavs in the state and said that the sheep distribution scheme was started in 2017 and 7.31 lakh beneficiaries were selected across the state and 50 percent distribution was completed in the first phase. He said that 3.38 lakh sheep units pending under the second phase of sheep distribution will be distributed.

The minister said that the government has increased the unit cost of sheep from 1.25 lakhs to 1.75 lakhs, of which 25 percent i.e. 43 thousand 750 rupees is the beneficiary’s share and the remaining one lakh 31 thousand 250 rupees will be released by the government as a subsidy. Regarding the purchase of sheep, mapping of the nearby markets has been done and a senior level officer should be appointed from each district to purchase the sheep, he said.

He said that insurance facility and geo-tagging will be done for each sheep and tenders should be taken up for transportation of sheep immediately in each district. The minister ordered that a special committee should be set up in each district regarding the purchase of sheep and it should be implemented under the supervision of the collectors.

After that, State CS Shanti Kumari reviewed the issue of Kanti Velugu. The CS said that 15.65 lakh reading glasses were distributed to 97 lakh people in 47 days across the state, 12.18 lakh prescription glasses were ordered and more than 7.4 lakh prescription glasses were delivered to the districts. The CS advised the Collectors to pay special attention so that prescription spectacles reaching the districts are provided to the beneficiaries at their doorsteps. She said that the quality of Kanti Velugu camps should be constantly checked and the quality control teams in the district should tour extensively.

She said that so far 22 thousand 333 women have been tested and 1132 have been referred for further treatment through the health women’s centers which were started on the occasion of Women’s Day. She said that a wide publicity should be given to the public about the health women program, necessary facilities are being provided in the referral hospital and full treatment will be provided free of cost to women.

The CS has issued orders on the progress regarding the order number 58, 59, 76, 118 issued by the government regarding the issue of regularization of lands. Regarding Government Order No. 58, the distribution of pending tracks should be completed within a week, and regarding Government Order No. 59, attention should be paid to the collection of regularization fees, and the collection of fees should be completed quickly and the tracks should be distributed.

The government has given another opportunity to apply under order number 58,59, the cutoff date has been extended to 02 June 2023 and the deadline for receiving applications is 30th  April 2023. The applications which have been rejected in Government Order No. 58 and 59 should be given information to those who are eligible under the new rules who are not reviewed again. The CS appreciated that there is good progress in allotment of double bedroom houses built in urban areas across the state to the beneficiaries. The online registration of beneficiary details should be completed by April 15th 2023. District Collector Anurag Jayanthi, Additional Collectors B. Satya Prasad, N.
