Surprise attacks on prohibited Gudumba makers
RSD- District news: On 29.08.2024 morning, special teams of police officers and personnel were formed and attacked on the illegal Gudumba manufacturing bases in Rajannasircilla district and 133 liters of Jagiri were seized during simultaneous raids in different parts of the district. 27 liters of Gudumba were seized and cases were registered against 19 people out of 17 cases, the SP said.

SP said on this occasion that it is an illegal act to make gundumba as it is prohibited by the government, drinking gudumba is very harmful to health and the method of making it is completely against the rules, including urea which is harmful to health, dirty water and alum jaggery which are harmful to health and pose a threat to the lives of those who drink it, he said. But some people ignore this and are making money against the government’s policy by secretly making it in contaminated land at houses, crop fields and forest areas and acting against the law, he informed that strict action will be taken against such people.
