Telangana High Court orders police to stop animal slaughter

RSD- Telangana news:  The High Court ordered the Telangana government to ensure that cow slaughter should not take place during Bakrid festival. To this extent, the police have been ordered to take appropriate measures to prevent the slaughter of cows. The counsel for the government told the High Court that the Animal Slaughter Act is being strictly enforced. It has been revealed that 150 check posts have been set up in the three commissionerates. The lawyer told the High Court that 60 cases have already been registered against the movement and slaughter of cows. The High Court ordered the government to take action against anyone who commits illegal slaughter of animals.
