Traffic rules should be followed strictly

RSD- Hyderabad news: On 21-06-2024, Hyderabad Traffic Police took up special drive against the motorists driving vehicles without number plates and tampered number plates and also minors driving.  During the special drive, 35 FIRs have been registered against 85 vehicle owners under 420 IPC. Further 40 minors have been caught and cases are being booked against them besides the owners for allowing the minors to ride. We appeal to the citizens of Hyderabad to drive vehicles with proper registration number plates.  We also urge the vehicle owners and parents not to allow the minors to drive their vehicles as it is punishable under Sections 180/177 of the MV Act, which carry the penalties of 3 months jail or fine of Rs.5000/- or both. Vigilant Citizens are also requested to report the traffic violations to Hyderabad Traffic Police through Hyderabad Traffic Police Facebook, X (Twitter) and Traffic Help Line (9010203626). Such special drives will be continued against other traffic violations also and suitable and stringent legal action will be taken against the motorists who endanger the lives of other commuters and pedestrians.
