Two years imprisonment for theft in temple
RSD-Sircilla news: C.I will speak to this extent and said that on 27.02.2017 in Amba Bhavani temple in Nehrunagar after night puja they locked the temple and left. On 28.02.2017 at 07:00 AM when they came to Amba Bhavani temple, the lock of the temple gate was broken. Hundi inside the temple is not visible. When looking around, a hundi was seen in the Maneru stream beside the temple. Unknown thieves took the money in the hundi and threw it into the Maneru stream. They broke it and stole fifteen hundred rupees in the hundi. The then president of Amba Bhavani temple, Chiluka Narayana, filed a complaint at the police station and registered a case. Vaddepalli Satyam @ Erukal Satyam who stole money from the temple Age: 38 years, Village: Utur of Manakondur Mandal, present living at Vidyanagar, Sircilla has been arrested and taken to remand. After investigation by Inquiry Officer Liaquat Ali, when the chargesheet was filed, CMS S. I. Court Constable Vemula Naresh, led by Ravinder Naidu, produced seven (7) witnesses in the court. Public Prosecutor Chelumula Sandeep argued on behalf of the prosecution and Judge A. Praveen, who examined the case precedents, sentenced the criminal Vaddepalli Satyam to two (2) years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of two thousand rupees.
