Using CEIR application lost phone recovered – Rajannasircilla district SP
The District SP said that the CEIR application will help a lot in recovering a stolen or lost mobile. On 22.04.2023, using the latest technology CEIR application lost phone was handed over to the victim in the district police office.
SP that through this newly introduced CEIR (CENTRAL EQUIPMENT IDENTITY REGISTER) application for theft or tracing of phones, it was very helpful to find and catch such phones, even if the phone is lost or stolen anywhere. If the mobile phone is lost, it is advised to file a complaint at the concerned police station. Similarly, before buying second hand phones, one should check the details of the phone i.e. IMEI numbers in the application so that the status of the phone can be known.
A person named Suresh from Konaraopet village Venkatravupet on 16-05-2022 while going from Konaraupet to Gudem village lost his mobile during the journey. The person filed a case in Konaraupet police station. Using CEIR, his mobile found at BB pet mandal Yadaram. The police found that it was in the village and seized the phone and gave it to the person DSP Nagendrachari, CI Kiran, SI Ramakanth, IT Core SI Kiran Kumar were present in this program.
