RSD- Sircilla news: Mind Care and Counseling Center, Telangana Psychologists Association and Helping Hearts Welfare Society on 09.10.2024 organized a mental development program for workers at Ganesh Nagar Sircilla by eminent psychologist K. Punnamchander. Speaking on this occasion, he said that mental problems should not be neglected. The World Health Organization and Mental Health Organization have called for counseling and awareness programs on mental health under the government and voluntary organizations around the world on the topic of mental health of people in working conditions in the year 2024. As a part of that, a counseling program has been arranged for the power loom workers. Throughout the year, efforts are being made to spread awareness about the effects of occupational conditions on mental health and ways to overcome them. He said that lack of sleep, excessive suffering, prolonged mental stress and negative thoughts can push a person towards mental problems. It is said that habits have a serious impact on mental and physical health and advised the workers to develop good habits. He said that drinking, smoking, chewing tobacco and excessive use of cell phones should be avoided. Mind Care and Counseling Center has organized many counseling sessions on the mental health of workers for the last 15 years to support mental and physical health. He said that if you face any mental problem, you can contact the Mind Care Center without hesitation and we will provide counseling and treatment. Alcohol can be avoided through cognitive behavioral therapy. Psychologists Aluwala Ishwar, Darpalli Srinivas, Mind Care Center staff Vemula Annapurna, Rapelli Latha, Boora Srimati, Konda Uma and workers participated in the programme.
