Automatic traffic signals for traffic control and prevention of road accidents

District SP Akhil Mahajan along with State Power Loom & Textile Corporation Chairman Guduri Praveen, Library Chairman Akunuri Shankaraiah and Municipal Chair Person Jindam Kala Chakrapani inaugurated the newly installed automatic traffic signals to prevent the increasing traffic problems in the district center.

SP said that since Rajannasircilla was established as the district center, keeping in view the accidents happening due to heavy traffic and congestion, the police department proposed to the municipal department to set up traffic signals in Sircilla town, and the municipal department installed traffic signals at Netanna square. On behalf of the district police department, we are thankful to the municipal officials.

He said that these signals can control accidents and are useful for traffic regulation and traffic management. One set of signals is equal to the duty of ten traffic constables. He said that with the installation of traffic signal, accidents can be prevented and those who travel at high speed can be controlled. He said that the traffic problems in the town will be solved with the installation of traffic signal. Motorists and pedestrians coming from rural areas will be made aware of the automatic traffic signal system.

He said that everyone should wear a helmet and drive vehicles. He warned that if you violate traffic rules, you will be fined. He said that you can save lives by wearing a helmet when there is a road accident.

Chairman of State Power Loom & Textile Corporation Guduri Praveen said that motorists should use the signal system to prevent road accidents in the district and the signal system for traffic control in the town has been set up under the authority of the police department and municipal department for the convenience of the people.

Municipal chairperson Jindam Kala Chakrapani said that automatic traffic signals have been installed at Netanna Chowk in Sircilla town as per their proposal to control the traffic problems in Sircilla town.
