Bring dumping yard in use: District Collector Anurag Jayanthi
District Collector Anurag Jayanthi directed the municipal officials to complete the pending works of Vemulawada dumping yard and directed to bring it into use as soon as possible.
On 19.05.2023 evening District Collector, District Additional Collector B Satya Prasad along with Municipal Commissioner Anvesh inspected the progress of dumping yard under construction near Agraharam at the field level.
The compost yard, solid waste management center, vermi compost, FSTP in the dumping yard were inspected. Since the major share of the work has already been completed, the pending works of shutter work and window grills yet to be completed. He said that the responsibility of managing the compost yard should be handed over to Self Help Societies. Efforts should be made to increase the planned greenery in the dumping yard.Public Health Department DEE Tirupati, Municipal AE Narasimha and others participated in the inspection of the dumping yard.
