CCTV cameras mandatory in business, commercial establishments : ASP Seshadrini Reddy

RSD- Vemulawada news: As part of the Telangana Public Safety Enforcement Act, CCTV cameras are mandatory in establishments with a population of more than 100 people. On this occasion, Vemulawada ASP Seshadrini Reddy said that according to the Telangana Public Safety (measures) Enforcement Act-2013, CCTV cameras are to be installed in commercial establishments (commercial buildings, shopping malls, education institutes, etc.,) with a population of more than 100 people within the Vemulawada municipal area. The equipment should be installed in such a way that the data of the CC cameras can be stored for up to 30 days and the stored data should be handed over to the relevant authorities as part of crime control. Recommending that every six months inspector level officials conduct inspections and if there are no cc cameras during the inspections, a fine of 15,000/- rupees will be imposed on the concerned owner as per Telangana Public Safety Enforcement Act and if necessary, the licenses of such business and commercial establishments will be revoked.
