EMRS sports competitions should be organized strictly

RSD-Konaraopet news: EMRS State Welfare Minister Adduri Laxman Kumar said that sports competitions should be organized in a proper manner. On 06.09.2025, State Welfare Minister Adduri Laxman Kumar participated in the inauguration ceremony of the 5th Games and Sports Selection at Ekalavya Model Residential School in Marrimadla, Konaraopet Mandal, along with Government Whip Adi Srinivas and District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha. Speaking on this occasion, State Welfare Minister Adduri Laxman Kumar said that he was very happy to come to the EMRS sports competitions being held in Konaraopet Mandal on 06.09.2025 at the ministerial level. The Minister congratulated the officials and staff for making good arrangements for organizing sports competitions in a short time.He said that sports competitions are being held for more than 1200 students from all over the state today. He said that indoor & outdoor sports competitions should be organized separately as per the plan.He said that sports competitions should be organized without any inconvenience to children. He said that competitions should be held as per the rules. He said that steps would be taken to sanction special funds for Ekalavya schools, and that after he took charge, Rs. 740 crore was released to tribal village panchayats.The minister assured that an additional Rs. 10 crore would be sanctioned for the construction of roads in tribal areas as per the request of the government whip.Government whip Adi Srinivas said that the government would run Gurukuls with the aim of providing good studies to the poor. He said that students who studied in Gurukuls are rising to a higher level, and many have risen to great positions like Collector, SP, lawyers, doctors, engineers.He said that all children should see the arts and realize them as per the advice of former President Abdul Kalam. He said that parents should maintain the trust they have in us and follow the words spoken by teachers in Gurukuls. He suggested that the creativity in children should be recognized and encouraged.He said that the government will implement many programs such as internal transfers of teachers, promotion, 40 percent diet charges in Gurukuls, 200 percent cosmetic charges, construction of Young India integrated Gurukuls with 200 crores in each constituency, and providing special skill training through Advance Trade Centers.He said that the public government is working with the aim of providing quality education to the poor. He said that students should show good talent in EMRS sports competitions and move forward.He said that the government will pay special attention to sports and establish a sports university. He said that the government will also give priority to sportsmen.He said that proposals have been sent for the construction of roads in the tribal areas of Vemulawada constituency and he expressed special gratitude to the ministers for sanctioning 9 crores of funds to us. He requested that another 10 crores be sanctioned for Vemulawada.District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha said that he hoped that all the students should participate enthusiastically in the EMRS sports competitions and that more players from our state should be selected and participate in national level competitions. The Collector said that while playing sports, winning is not important, participation is very important, and sports will give good sportsmanship to the students. The Collector suggested that steps should be taken to provide good food to all the students during the EMRS sports competitions for the next three days. He said that all necessary precautions should be taken to be vigilant during the organization of sports competitions.EMRS Secretary Seetha Mahalakshmi said that the 5th National EMRS Sports Selection Meet was held on 05.09.2025, in which 300 players from Telangana state were selected for the National EMRS Sports Competition. She said that last year, the players selected from Telangana state won many medals. She said thattoday 1200 girls from 23 EMRS schools in the state came and 16 types of sports competitions were organized. She said that students should have a sports spirit, winning and losing are natural, and participating in sports is very important. Speaking, Malavat Poorna, who climbed Mount Everest, said that she had studied in a teacher’s school and climbed Mount Everest. She said that no matter what the circumstances are, if we work hard to achieve the good goal we have set, the entire society will support us. She said that taking the first step towards the goal is very important and if we want to achieve something, we should come out of our comfort zone. Later, the school management honored the Minister, the Whip and the District Collector. Minister inaugurates Kabaddi sports competitions Market Committee Chairperson Raju Vemulawada ASP Seshadrini Reddy, RDO Radha Bai, students, principals, PETs, concerned officials, local leaders and others participated in this program.
