RSD_ Avoid drugs says SP

RSD- Sircilla news: Under the “Anti-Drug Clubs” drawing competitions were organized in colleges and schools at the district level for students to eradicate drugs and create awareness among the youth about the evils caused by their use. As a part of that on 19.01.2024, district SP Akhil Mahajan IPS., along with Trainee IPS Rahul Reddy attended the competitions organized at Sri Chaitanya School and Vikas Degree College in the town center as chief guests and gave direction on the evils caused by drugs.

On this occasion, SP said that everyone should stay away from drugs and it is the students of today’s generation who will eradicate drugs in the coming days. SP advised that the students should focus only on their career and not get attracted to the use of prohibited drugs and other intoxicants. He reminded everyone that the use of drugs damages their physical and mental health in many ways. He said that with the aim of eradicating drugs in the district, many awareness programs are being conducted under the direction of the district police department. He said that the students should stay away from intoxicants and should not encourage bad habits. Under the Anti-Drug Club, slogan competition, essay writing and debate competitions were organized and awards will be given to the best performers. District SP who took a pledge with the students said, “We do not take drugs, it is our responsibility to take care of our relatives, neighbors and friends so that they don’t get addicted to drugs.”

He said that if there is any information related to ganja in the district, they should immediately call dial 100 and provide the information. The names of the informers will be kept confidential. He said that students who have shown the best performance in these competitions will be selected mandal-wise and they will be awarded certificates at the district level. District Education Officer Ramesh, Town CI Raghupathi, SI Raju, School and college staff participated in this program.
