RSD- Telangana news: A key development has taken place in the Telangana phone typing case which is causing a sensation across the country. The Telangana government has decided to appoint a special public prosecutor for this case. The investigating officers have already arrested four people in the phone tapping case. However, two of the accused have filed a bail petition in the Nampally court. Usually there are special PPs for criminal cases related to police station. However, since the phone tapping case is a high profile case, the government feels that this case should be treated as a special case rather than ordinary cases. With this, an order was issued appointing a special PP for this one case. Telangana government has given orders appointing Sambasiva Reddy as Special PP. The police have already announced this matter to the court. A memo was filed in the Nampally court attaching a copy of the Special PP order.

On the other hand, the arguments on the bail petition of Praneet Rao, who is the main accused in this case, ended. The Nampally court will announce the verdict on Praneet’s bail petition on 15.04.2024. Another accused Additional SP Thirupatanna also filed a bail petition in the Nampally court. Arguments on his petition will be held on 15.04.2024. Hyderabad CP Kothakota Srinivas Reddy responded for the first time in this case. On 11.04.2024, he visited the Miralam Eidgah in the old city of Hyderabad and responded to the phone tapping incident. He said that all the details in this case will be revealed soon. He commented that the investigation related to the case will continue in the most transparent manner. However, Hyderabad Kotwal Kothakota Srinivas Reddy said that full details will be revealed soon on the issue of giving notices to political leaders.

After the Hyderabad CP’s remarks, the suspense as to whom the first notices will go to has become a hotly debated topic in political circles. However, the police have prepared notices based on the information given by the officers who have already been arrested. Police has submitted a report to the court that Radha Kishan Rao has already confessed to the transfer of money related to previous government officials during the election. It is reported that the police will issue notices to the followers of key MLAs along with one MLC in the first instance. During the last elections, the task force personnel played a key role in transferring money belonging to the ruling party from one region to another. The investigating officers have already recorded the statements of the task force staff. The investigating officers are prepared to issue notices to several political leaders naming them as witnesses. Notices are likely to be given to politicians next week.
