Immediate compensation should be provided to those affected by rain and floods-Petition of Congress leaders to District Collector

Congress party district president Nagula Satyanarayana along with TPCC members Sanjak Srinivas, Woman Congress president Kamuni Vanitha and BC Cell district convener Kusa Ravinder submitted a petition to District Collector Anurag Jayanthi at Rajanna Sirisilla District Collectorate demanding immediate compensation to those who have suffered losses in the district due to rain and flood.Speaking in this regard, they demanded immediate compensation to the families who died due to the heavy rains in the district, the farmers whose crops were lost and those whose houses were destroyed. They demanded that the structures built after spending crores of public money to avoid the effect of flood have become useless and action should be taken against the responsible officials. The contractors who built without quality should be blacklisted. The main roads in the district center would not have been inundated if the authorities had planned and predicted the flood flow. The government has completely failed to provide infrastructure to the people. They made it clear that the Congress party will stand by the victims if the issues are not resolved.
