Imprisonment and fine for theft cases

RSD- Vemulawada news: The town inspector Veera Prasad speaks to this extent and said that a woman named Mekala Lakshmi w/o Gangaram, age 56, from Gurravanipalli village and her husband Sudarshan, 45yrs, from Nizamabad, were involved in the theft of gold bracelets and necklaces. On 26-03-2018, a complaint was filed at Vemulawada town police station in two cases. Cases were registered and the accused was sent to remand. After the investigation, the investigating officer Praveen filed a charge sheet in the court and the court constable Suresh presented the witnesses in the court. On behalf of the prosecution, P. Vikrant was the plaintiff in the case. After examining the antecedents, Judge Jyotirmayi announced verdict on 06.01.2025 sentenced the culprits to 2 years in prison in one case and Rs.2000/- fine and in the second case, a fine of Rs. 1000/- was imposed along with a 2-month jail sentence.
