Kondagattu Anjanna Temple is set up for Hanuman’s birth anniversary celebrations

The temple authorities have announced that the services will be suspended from 4th to 7th despite the birth anniversary on 6th of this month. Prasadam counters have been set up in front of the Dharamsatra near the bus stand. Barricades were installed in the Kalyanakatta building for the retreat of the initiates. Devotees are making arrangements to offer hair in the empty space next to the new Koneru and in the dormitory shed in front of the north gate of the temple. Temporary toilets are being constructed in the vicinity of the temple so that there is no lack of cleanliness. Wet canopies and chill centers are being set up wherever necessary. The police will not allow the devotees who come in vehicles to go to the hill through the ghat road. One has to park the vehicles in the parking area arranged at the bottom of the hill and visit the Lord. Devotees going up the hill from the Jagitiyala side can reach the Anjanna temple which is 2 km away from the stage via the stairs and the ghat road. Devotees coming from Karimnagar side should go to the top of the hill via Dongalamarri. One has to park the vehicles near the Bojjapotanna temple and reach the temple which is about 1.5 km from there. Tickets are Rs.50 for Talanila (hair), Rs.50 for special darshan, and Rs.100 for mala (deeksha) viramana. 200 grams of pulihora is Rs.15 and 100 grams of laddoos are sold at the temple staff counters. Temple sources said that around 3 lakh laddus have been prepared for sale to the devotees.
