Life imprisonment for a person who murdered his wife – Vemulawada

The accused Pochampalli Ravi, whose father is Lacchayya, of Narsingapur village, Jagityala district, was sentenced to life imprisonment in the murder case at Uppagadda in Vemulawada town in the year 2017 by Principal District Judge Sircilla on 21.04.2023.

On 19-9-2017 at Uppagadda Vemulawada, the accused Pochampally Ravi strangled his wife Pochampally Vasantha alias Anjali on suspicion. Later the accused also tried to commit suicide. In this matter, the police have registered a case, investigated and remanded the accused. Accused Pochampally Ravi was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Hon’ble Court on 21.04.2023. Accused Ravi was sent to Karimnagar Jail. This case is Crime No. 297/2017 u/s.302, 309 IPC, Vemulawada Town ps.
