Petition to handloom department to provide 10% subsidy of Bathukamma sarees to power loom workers immediately

Today, under the CITU Powerloom Workers’ Union, the ten percent yarn subsidy due for the workers of Sircilla Powerloom and for textile park workersis being requested to be given immediately. In this regard, Union State President Musham Ramesh said that request letter has been given to the ED of Handloom Joli Department to provide it immediately.

For 2019 related to all powerloom workers Yaran subsidy, AD said that the subsidy will be provided in 10 days. The government has also released the money for 2020 subsidy.  For the year 2019, on a war basis everything was finished and the production details were collected from the employers. For the 2020 subsidy to be provided to the workers with the yarn subsidy, authorities for subsidy are showing negligence in allocating special staff.

If the subsidy is not completed soon, there is a possibility that the workers will not receive the subsidy and if it is not provided to the workers before next year’s election workers will be at loss. Officials should recognize this problem and do justice to the workers in the matter of subsidy. He said that if the subsidy related to 2019 is provided in ten days, it will be beneficial for the workers during Dussehra festival.
