Phone tapping case, Hard disks thrown in forest
RSD- Hyderabad news: Police are interrogating former DSP of Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) Praneet Rao in the phone tapping case. It is reported that Praneet revealed many key details during the second day of the trial on 18.03.2024. Praneet said that he cut many hard disks of SIB with cutters and threw them in the forest. With this, the police are making arrangements to take Praneet to Vikarabad forest and recover the hard disk fragments. It is known that the court has handed over Praneeth, who is staying in Chanchal Guda Jail, to police custody in the phone tapping case. As a result, Panjagutta police have detained Praneet and are interrogating him. It seems that a team including an ACP and two other officers are specially questioning Praneet at the Banjara Hills Police Station on 18.03.2024.
In view of the priority of the case, tight security has been arranged at the Banjara Hills police station. Only complainants are allowed to enter the station. Interrogated from 11 am to 5 pm. It seems that the investigation was conducted in the perspective of what made it necessary to destroy the hard disks. On this, the officials asked many questions and got answers from Praneet. The team is summoning Praneet and the officers who worked with him for questioning. Unofficial sources revealed that Praneet’s former colleague, who is currently working as a CI in Nalgonda district, was also interrogated on 18.03.2024. It is reported that some others are also likely to be investigated.
