Suryapet girl got raped at Afzalganj
RSD- Hyderabad news: Keshavagiri, the incident of rape of a young woman took place after midnight on 06.01.2024 in the area of Patabasti Bandlaguda police station. Within hours, the police nabbed the two accused. According to the details of Inspector Mohammad Shakir Ali the young woman (21) from Suryapet is staying at home with her mother and brother. On 06.01.2024, the young woman had a fight with her brother over something. The enraged brother beat the young woman. The offended young lady came to the bus stand and boarded the bus in Hyderabad. Got down at MGBS bus stand around 10.40 pm on 06.01.2024 night. After coming out and drinking tea in the hut, she is walking towards Afzalganj. Mulakalapenta Srikanth (22) of Gausnagar and Panaganti Kashivishwanath (32) of Afzalganj saw the young woman and chased her on a two-wheeler. When she was approached and asked where to go she said that she has to go to the nearest police station. They said that they are going there they will take her too and asked to get on the bike. The young woman believed them and got on a two-wheeler.
After going a short distance, they stopped at an ice-cream parlor in Afzalganj area and fed her with ice-cream and made her believe in them. She was then taken directly to Srikanth’s scrap godown near Lakeview Hills under Bandlaguda police station and raped. The victim screamed while being taken on a bike to move to another place. The accused escaped when the locals noticed. Chandrayanagutta Inspector K. Gurunath and Bandlaguda SSI Venkateshwarji reached the spot on the information of the locals. Details were collected from the victim. She showed the scrap godown where she was assaulted. Locals say that this godown is of Srikanth. Soon the police caught the accused. Kashivishwanath was detained on the information given by him. On investigation, it was revealed that both had raped the young woman. Based on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against the accused and investigation is underway.
